As of 6 September 2026.

What it requires

  • An app that creates an information resource using artificial intelligence, or operates an information system that functions on artificial-intelligence technology, in Uzbekistan must not let that resource or system harm a person's life, health, freedom, honor, or dignity, or violate their other inalienable rights.
  • Where the app's output feeds a legally significant decision affecting a person's rights or freedoms, the decision may not rest exclusively on the AI-based resource's or system's conclusions.

What it makes you log

Logging duty

Article 7-1 bars an AI-based information resource or system from harming a person's life, health, freedom, honor, or dignity, and bars a legally significant decision from resting exclusively on such a resource's or system's conclusions. Neither paragraph names a log, a record, an event-recording capability or an audit trail, and neither requires demonstrating, proving or producing on demand something only a record could show.
