Logging duty

The new paragraph lets the Public Defender of Rights, when acting on AI systems in public administration, demand access to the documentation that public authorities and the persons who use or provide such systems are bound to create or keep under another provision, and obliges them to comply without undue delay. The bill creates no duty to keep logs or documentation itself.

According to that release the draft goes next to the Legislative Council of the Government and then to the Economic and Social Council.

The Government's portal lists the draft act on state administration in the field of artificial intelligence and European data regulation as material LRV-22028/2026, registered on and placed as agenda item 2 of the 51st meeting of the Legislative Council of the Government. MIRRI states that the draft is then to be submitted to the Government. The Government adopted resolution No. 349/2026 on the bill at its 151st session on .

The Government's bill was delivered to the National Council on as parliamentary print 1447. The National Council's page for the print shows the stage of the legislative process as first reading. By resolution the National Council assigned the Committee on Public Administration and Regional Development as lead committee, with a deadline of .
