What this law does
Article 45 of the Law on the Protection of Citizens' Health makes the fact that a person sought medical help, the person's state of health, the diagnosis and the other data obtained during examination and treatment a physician's secret. Article 45 bars those who learn physician's-secret data in the course of professional, service or other duties from disclosing it without the consent of the citizen or the citizen's legal representative, except in the cases listed in the article's third part.
Article 45 allows physician's-secret data to be given without consent where the risk of spread of infectious diseases, mass poisoning or injury threatens.
