What it requires
- Applies to covered internet platforms that create, host or make available material harmful to minors (obscene material or child pornography) as part of their regular business. General internet service providers, search engines and cloud service providers are exempt.
- Perform reasonable age verification of users, using a driver's license, identification card, passport, an age restricted credit or debit card, or another reliable method.
- You need not extend this to minors who are neither Wyoming residents nor present in the state for at least 31 consecutive days.

Damages plus $5,000 in additional statutory damages for each instance of failed age verification, with court costs and reasonable attorney fees; separate damages liability for knowingly retaining a user's identifying information. Civil actions are the exclusive enforcement mechanism; no state enforcement.

Wyo. Stat. Ann. § 14-3-503(e): $5,000 for each instance the covered platform failed to perform reasonable age verification, each failure a separate violation, in addition to the damages, court costs and attorney fees recoverable under subsection (c). A separate, unliquidated damages claim for knowing retention of identifying information is available under subsection (d).

Logging duty
Section 14-3-502 requires the covered platform to verify the age of every person who accesses the material, and names no log, record or proof of the check. Its subsection (b) goes the other way and bars the platform, or the third party that does the verification, from retaining the person's identifying information once access has been granted.
