What this law does
This ordinance no longer binds; it expired on by its own sunset clause.
While in force, it barred any person in Baltimore City, including an instrumentality or unit of the city government itself, from obtaining, retaining, accessing, or using a face surveillance system or any information obtained from one; only a non-government violator faced the ordinance's own penalty, a misdemeanor punishable by a fine of up to $1,000, up to 12 months imprisonment, or both, with each day of violation a separate offense.
