What this law does
Section 2 of IC 22-9-14 bars a person from discriminating against an individual on the basis of the individual's solicitation and use of consumer genetic testing services or on the basis of the results of genetic testing performed by a consumer genetic testing provider.
Section 2 of IC 22-9-14 lists denying the individual access to the person's goods or services, charging the individual a different rate for them, and suggesting that the individual will be subject to either measure as forms of the discrimination it bars. Section 1 of IC 22-9-14 applies the definitions in IC 24-4-24 throughout the chapter. Public Law 233 of 2025 added the chapter to the Indiana Code.
