What this law does
Except as the section provides, the identity of any person upon whom an HIV test has been performed and the test results are confidential. No person who has obtained or has knowledge of a test result may disclose or be compelled to disclose the identity of the person tested, or the results in a manner that permits identification, except to the persons the paragraph lists. A general release without prior written authorization is not sufficient to release HIV test results.
