What this law does
Article 5c(1) makes the service providers designated by general administrative order design and provide their services in accordance with the rules set by or under that order. Article 5c(2) lets those rules cover how and on what terms services are offered, including the accessibility requirements they must meet. Article 5d(1) lets general administrative orders implement the rules the European Commission adopts under Article 26 of the Directive.
Parts g and h of the annex to the Wet handhaving consumentenbescherming assign the enforcement of the rules made under Article 5c(1) to the Commissariaat voor de Media for e-books and services giving access to audiovisual media services, and to the Inspectie Leefomgeving en Transport for passenger transport services.
