Article 67(2) of Law 4488/2017 requires providers of media and communication services, including the internet, to use new technologies, such as talking web pages, subtitling, audio description and sign language interpretation, to ensure the access of persons with disabilities to them. Article 67(2) leaves to a decision of the Minister of Digital Policy, Telecommunications and Media the means, the procedure and any other technical or detailed matter for its application.

Article 67 sits in Part D of Law 4488/2017, which lays down a general framework of rules implementing the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and its Optional Protocol, ratified by Law 4074/2012. Article 72(1) designates the Greek Ombudsman as the framework for promoting the implementation of the Convention. Article 72(2)(b) has the Ombudsman, in that role, handle and investigate reports of violations of the rights of persons with disabilities.

Article 123 starts the force of Law 4488/2017 from its publication in the Government Gazette, unless a provision states otherwise.
