Article 388-3 of the Code of Administrative Offences penalizes knowingly distributing photo, video or audio material made with artificial intelligence technologies without a clear and easily visible label showing that it was made with them. The offence covers distribution in the media and, where the material is shown publicly, on internet information resources or in information-telecommunication networks. The fine under Article 388-3 is 80 to 150 manat.

The article counts as a label the marking that the artificial intelligence technology used automatically supplies and any visual, audio or text-based marking added to the material. The Cabinet of Ministers was told to propose within two months which body may hear cases under Article 388-3. Article 98 of the Constitution provides that a law takes effect on the day it is published unless the law itself states another rule.
